WE MISSED CHANEL’s “Inside” series, right? It was about time they released the 4th piece (of how many, we don’t know) and this time it is simply called “The Jacket”. Karl Lagerfeld makes his first appearance so far and talks about the iconic piece that Gabrielle Chanel invented and Lagerfeld himself reinvented from the 80′s until today. FW13 – Best Of Street Style – PARIS

HERE’S THE BEST of Paris Fashion Week street style (according to myself). It looks like many of these show goers decided to fight the cold with bold and happy colours. Others went for the classics blacks and whites, especially now that those two have risen to stardom. AQUI ESTÁ o melhor do street style da Paris Fashion Week (na minha perspectiva). Parece que alguns destes “show-goers” decidiram fazer frente ao frio com muita cor, outros optaram pelos clássicos pretos e brancos, ainda mais numa estação em que este par foi elevado ao estrelato. Como sou obcecada por conforto, também vejo aqui um excelente catálogo de sobretudos giros. Espreitem este desfile público, é só clicar em Read More.

FW13 – Best Of Street Style – LONDON

AS YOU MAY know, if you follow Eva Maria on Facebook (click here when in doubt!) Lisbon Fashion Week is over. Oooooh…! Yup, it was a good long weekend running around town trying to get all things done and still get to see some of the shows (not as many as I wished though) and I’m looking forward to talk about that and my absolute favourite (!!!) BUT meanwhile we have a schedule to follow here, remember? So, I’m giving you my edit of the best of the best of “the big four” fashion weeks, and after New York Street Style (click) and Catwalks (click), it’s time for a bit of time travelling to London. DEPOIS DE UM fim-de-semana comprido e muito bom, em correria constante cidade fora para conseguir ver alguns dos desfiles (não tantos como gostaria) e cumprir todos os outros afazeres, a nossa Moda Lisboa terminou. Oooooh…! Pois é, mas apesar de estar mortinha por vos falar sobre isso (incluindo sobre o meu favorito surpreendente), por aqui temos um calendário a cumprir, lembram-se? Todos os dias partilho a minha edição do melhor do melhor das quatro grandes fashion weeks, e depois do melhor do Street Style e das Colecções de Nova Iorque, é tempo de fazermos uma viagem no tempo a Londres. Falamos no fim, mas ou muito me engano ou esta é a “leva” de street stylers com mais pinta. Ora espreitem. ;)

Inside CHANEL – Chapter 3

CHANEL keeps feeding us bits of its history packed up in beautifully crafted films. This third chapter is about how Mademoiselle Chanel revolutionized the jewelry business in 1932 with her “couture perspective”, during the Great Depression. “Bijoux de Diamants” was her one and only high jewelry collection but it still sells and inspires today’s Chanel Fine Jewelry line. Este terceiro capítulo conta como a Mademoiselle Chanel revolucionou o negócio da joalharia em 1932 com a sua “visão de alta-costura”, em plena Grande Depressão. Moda Lisboa: The Lost Post

HEY! VACATION’S OFICIALLY over, and we’re back on business. I had the most perfect two weeks that felt like a whole month, but since I’m back, I had to check how Lisbon Fashion Week went (the first I missed in years, but for a very good reason, right?) and pick my favourites. “The Lost Post” is the one I would have done if I’d been there, so here are the four shows I missed the most, after taking a good look at the official pics and videos: Aleksandar Protic, Luis Buchinho, Nuno Baltazar and Say My Name. HEY! AS FÉRIAS estão oficialmente terminadas e por aqui é tempo de voltar ao activo. Blogger Crush – Hedvig Opshaug

I’M OVERWHELMED by Hedvigd Opshaug style. After finding this pic today I googled it and got to her über-known-blog-except-for-me, and dedicated several minutes (hours) scrolling down her posts. These are some of my favourite looks (so far). I’m delighted by her simplicity and amazed at how this girl can rock a pair of pants.

ESTOU RENDIDA à pinta da Hedvigd Opshaug. Hoje, depois de  encontrar esta imagem dela, googlei e fui parar ao blog, ultra conhecido por meio mundo menos por mim, e passei alguns minutos (horas) a fazer scroll, posts abaixo. Estes são alguns dos looks que me fizeram parar o scroll (até agora). Adoro a simplicidade dela, e como consegue tirar partido de um simples par de calças.

My Better Half

CAN YOU RESIST a good love story? “My Better Half” is a wonderful project by Amanda Jane Jones, a freelance graphic designer from Michigan who decided to start this on her blog. Here’s how it goes: she (or some photographer) takes one picture of the couple together – they’re usually friends or people she knows – one picture of her, one picture of him (there’s no gay couples so far, hence the description), some graphic seasoning by Amanda, a brief bio of the relationship and three things about each other, told by the other (got it?). Simple, and beautiful. Just the way I like it. :)

CONSEGUEM RESISTIR a uma boa história de amor? “My Better Half” (a minha metade melhor) é um projecto maravilhoso da autoria de Amanda Jane Jones, uma designer gráfica do Michigan que decidiu começar a fazer isto no blog. Funciona assim: ela (ou algum fotógrafo) tira uma foto do casal – normalmente amigos ou pessoas que conheceu – mais uma fotografia dela e outra dele (ainda não apareceram casais gay, daí a descrição redutora), uma pitada de condimentos gráficos dados pela Amanda, uma breve bio da relação e três factos sobre cada um deles, ditos pelo outro (perceberam?). Simples, e muito bonito. Como eu gosto. :)

POR FALAR EM BASTIDORES, acabei de descobrir estas imagens lindíssimas da modelo Karlie Kloss e do designer Jason Wu nos últimos retoques do coordenado de Karlie para a after-party da Met Gala, há dois dias. Adoro.

Anna Dello Russo X H&M

FRESH NEWS: Vogue Nippon‘s Fashion Director & Über fashion victim Anna Dello Russo will launch a line of accessories for H&M that will hit selected stores this October. There’s not much to say yet, since the Swedish retailer has only released this picture and a video of ADR walking around her several-rooms-closet talking more about her more than the actual collab. Despite that, It is worth seeing, if not for the clear presentation of the pieces she designed at least for Miss Dello Russo’s intense character and extravaganza, which is always quite entertaining.

NOTÍCIAS FRESCAS: A Directora de Moda da Vogue Japão & Über fashion victim Anna Dello Russo vai lançar uma linha de acessórios para a H&M que chegará às lojas em Outubro. Ainda não há muito para dizer, já que o gigante Sueco divulgou apenas uma foto-teaser e um video da ADR a deambular pelo seu closet multi-divisões enquanto fala mais de si do que da parceria. Apesar disso, mesmo não sendo pela clareza de apresentação das peças que desenhou. vale a pena ver o video pela personalidade intensa e extravagante da senhora Dello Russo, que é sempre bom entretenimento.

I’VE RECENTLY COME ACROSS these treasures: two lingerie catalogues from the 70′s that couldn’t be more different. One is a 1976 Bloomingdale’s insert of The New York Times photographed by the great Guy Bourdin, the other is a 1979 Victoria’s Secret catalogue that totally blows away Bourdain’s fresh approach much like bad erotica playing cards would.

ENCONTREI ESTES TESOUROS recentemente: dois catálogos de lingerie dos anos 70 que não podiam ser mais diferentes. Um é um encarte da Bloomingdale’s no The New York Times de 1976, fotografado pelo enorme Guy Bourdin, o outro um catálogo Victoria’s Secret que deita por terra a abordagem de Bourdain numa estética parecida com a daqueles baralhos de cartas eróticas antigos.
