AFTER Anna Dello Russo, Maison Martin Margiela and a bunch of other high fashion names, H&M has just announced a collaboration with chic-wearability genious Isabel Marant to hit selected stores this November. It was about time they let her do what she does so well instead of copying her designs by the thousands. It might well be my first real temptation in H&M collabs so far (after ADL disapointment and MMM exorbitant prices). For now there’s only a teaser video with Miss Marant, that you can see after clicking “Read More”.

DEPOIS de Anna Dello Russo, Maison Martin Margiela e uma série de outros nomes da alta moda, a H&M acaba de anunciar uma colaboração com o génio do conforto-chic, Isabel Marant, que chegará às lojas em Novembro deste ano. Já era altura de a deixarem fazer o que faz melhor, depois de copiarem as suas peças aos milhares e esta pode bem ser a primeira tentação real na história das colaborações da H&M (depois da desilusão que foi a ADL e a exorbitância da MMM). The CFDA’s Get Lucky

OK, SO I’m completely addicted to Daft Punk’s latest hit “Get Lucky” feat. Pharrell Williams. I’ve been listening to it on repeat while working, driving the car or waiting in the bus stop, times and times again, and even when I’m not listening to it I’m humming (it just sticks to your brain like super glue, right?) and, like me, thousands of people around the world. Since this is a fact and fashion master Hedi Slimane played a very important role in the making of their videoclip, the CFDA people have just made *the* coolest 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards video to showcase the nominees for “Menswear Designer of the Year” consisting of a series of models dressed in the nominated collections SINGING Get Lucky as if they were in a church choir. ULTIMAMENTE tenho andado completamente viciada na “Get Lucky” dos Daft Punk. Ouço-a em repeat enquanto trabalho, conduzo ou espero na paragem de autocarro, vezes e vezes de seguida (e eu nem gosto de ouvir músicas mais do que uma vez) e quando não estou a ouvir estou a trautear, porque ela cola-se ao cérebro de uma forma impressionante. Ora, como eu (e isto é um facto) milhares de pessoas pelo mundo inteiro. Juntando este boom de popularidade ao facto de que o enorme Hedi Slimane (director criativo da casa Saint Laurent) vestiu os Daft Punk e o Pharrell para este álbum, o CFDA teve uma ideia absolutamente brilhante e o seu video de anunciação dos nomeados para a categoria de “Melhor Designer de Moda Masculina” nos CFDA Fashion Awards 2013 consistiu num grupo de modelos, vestindo as colecções nomeadas, a CANTAR a Get Lucky em modo coro de igreja. STARLET STARE is a series of beauty portraits that was recently featured on Institute Magazine, styled by me and shot by my dear Dulce Daniel .

Under this idea of a young starlet playing a staring contest with the viewer, inspired by 50′s and 60′s divas, we present you Daniela Lesco with gorgeous make-up by Sara Marques de Oliveira and impeccably groomed hair by Rita Vicente.

Inside CHANEL – Chapter 4

WE MISSED CHANEL’s “Inside” series, right? It was about time they released the 4th piece (of how many, we don’t know) and this time it is simply called “The Jacket”. Karl Lagerfeld makes his first appearance so far and talks about the iconic piece that Gabrielle Chanel invented and Lagerfeld himself reinvented from the 80′s until today. JÁ TÍNHAMOS saudades da série “Inside Chanel”, não tínhamos? Estava na altura de publicarem o quarto capítulo (de não-sabemos-quantos) e desta vez chamaram-lhe simplesmente “The Jacket” [O Casaco]. Karl Lagerfeld aparece pela primeira vez e fala acerca da peça icónica criada por Gabrielle Chanel e recriada por ele desde os anos 80 até hoje. FW13 – Best Of Catwalks – PARIS

PARIS WAS a bit of a letdown, I must say. Loved Lanvin’s giant insects but the collection looked bland to me, Givenchy’s hair was brilliant but the garments didn’t quite match it, Slimane’s grungified Saint Laurent was sad – he won me on dropping out the “Yves” but now… it was just too much of him and too little of the fashion house. Thank god Marc Jacobs gave us a beautiful show to make for all this, and a couple more did too, as you’ll see after the jump.

PARIS FOI uma pequena desilusão, devo dizer. Adorei os insectos gigantes da Lanvin, mas a colecção pareceu-me desinteressante, o cabelo da Givenchy foi brilhante mas as peças não estiveram à sua altura, a Saint Laurent “grunge-ificada” de Slimane foi triste – dei o braço a torcer quando ele decidiu tirar o Saint, mas desta vez foi simplesmente demasiado dele e muito pouco da casa. Felizmente Marc Jacobs apresentou um desfile fabuloso para compensar tudo isto, e alguns outros também, como podem ver aqui.

FW13 – Best Of Street Style – PARIS

HERE’S THE BEST of Paris Fashion Week street style (according to myself). It looks like many of these show goers decided to fight the cold with bold and happy colours. Others went for the classics blacks and whites, especially now that those two have risen to stardom. Since I’m kind of obsessed with comfort, it makes for an excellent catalogue of cool overcoats as well. See for yourselves, click Read More. ;)

AQUI ESTÁ o melhor do street style da Paris Fashion Week (na minha perspectiva). Parece que alguns destes “show-goers” decidiram fazer frente ao frio com muita cor, outros optaram pelos clássicos pretos e brancos, ainda mais numa estação em que este par foi elevado ao estrelato. Como sou obcecada por conforto, também vejo aqui um excelente catálogo de sobretudos giros. Espreitem este desfile público, é só clicar em Read More.

FW13 – Best Of Catwalks – LONDON

LONDON CATWALKS have a very special identity to them, which is the mix of identities. Like the city it happens in, London Fashion Week gathers influences from all over the world in a rich and inspiring set of creations that usually amazes me more than any other. This year was no exception, here are some of my favorites.

AS YOU MAY know, if you follow Eva Maria on Facebook (click here when in doubt!) Lisbon Fashion Week is over. Oooooh…! Yup, it was a good long weekend running around town trying to get all things done and still get to see some of the shows (not as many as I wished though) and I’m looking forward to talk about that and my absolute favourite (!!!) BUT meanwhile we have a schedule to follow here, remember? So, I’m giving you my edit of the best of the best of “the big four” fashion weeks, and after New York Street Style (click) and Catwalks (click), it’s time for a bit of time travelling to London. Todos os dias partilho a minha edição do melhor do melhor das quatro grandes fashion weeks, e depois do melhor do Street Style e das Colecções de Nova Iorque, é tempo de fazermos uma viagem no tempo a Londres. WHILE WE immerse ourselves in our own Lisbon Fashion Week (of wich I’ll be talking about soon) during the next few days I’m going to share the best of the big ones – New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks – both in terms of the collections presented and the street stylers roaming around the events. We start off with the freezing streets of New York Fashion Week, let the show begin!
